Year Three Homework – Week 5
Hello year three. Again, I want to say keep up the great work you are doing at home! I am enjoying seeing and hearing about all the things you have been up to. Also thank you for the lovely get-well posters and messages you have sent for Oscar. They will really help to cheer him up. If there are any more, please e-mail them to maesycoedprimary82@gmail.com or drop them into school between 9.00 – 11.00 this week.
Here is the homework grid for the next week. Again, there are two activities for you to try to complete each day. Please do them in any order. Our next theme is Animals and this will continue after the half term holiday.
Remember that you can send
PowerPoints or Word documents from Office 365 to me by e-mail. In the top right corner of your work, click the share button and please send it to my school e-mail  kings13@hwbcymru.net
You can also e-mail each other. All the instructions are on this page, just scroll down a bit further.
Please keep having a look at the j2homework button on Just2easy. There may be tasks or ideas for you on there too.
Finally, I am missing you all very much, so please feel free to type a message to me, by using j2message.  I have enjoyed speaking to you this way. You can also speak to each other on this app.

Year Three Homework – Weeks 3 and 4
Hello again year three. I just want to say a very big thank you for all the wonderful work you have been doing at home. I am really enjoying looking at your files on Just2easy in Hwb and seeing all the lovely tasks you have been completing.
Here are the homework grids for the next two weeks. Again, they have two activities for you to try to complete each day. Please do them in an order that is best for you. Our theme for the next fortnight is Food and Health

If you have used Word or PowerPoint on Office 365, you are able to share this work with me so I can see it. In the top right corner of your work, click the share button and please send it to my school e-mail kings13@hwbcymru.net  You can also try e-mailing each other safely. All the instructions are on this page, just scroll down a bit further.
Please also have a look at the j2homework button on Just2easy. There will be tasks on there or messages for our class from me.
Finally, I am missing you all very much, so please feel free to type a message to me, by clicking the speech bubbles on your work in MY FILES. Lots of you have already started reading my comments in the bubbles and sending me a message back. I have enjoyed speaking to you this way.

Home Tasks

Homework for Year Three
Hello year three, I hope you have all enjoyed the Easter holidays and have been able to enjoy some of the lovely sunshine we have had. I am missing you lots and am hoping that we can all be together again soon. Until then, I will be setting you some homework to do each day.
Please use the same rules that we follow in class. Take your time to read the homework carefully. Remember to write or draw your work neatly in your book. Check and edit your work to make sure you haven’t missed anything out or made any mistakes. If using the computer, save your work using a sensible name. Always try your best.
In the homework grid are two activities for you to try to complete each day. Most are tasks that you can finish the same day. However, there are a few that either follow on to the next day, or to the next week.

You have all been given your HWB and My Maths user names and passwords, but if you are having difficulty please e-mail me on         maesycoedprimary82@gmail.com
Sometimes you will record your work in the book we provided, or on HWB using either j2write or Office 365 for Word or PowerPoint. Please remember to save your work.

I would also like you to try to do the ‘Daily Five’ activities if possible. These are reading, maths practise, keep fit, being creative and celebrating something you have done well.

Ideas for Daily Five
Reading Ideas -any books, magazines or newspapers you may have at home. Reading or listening to e-books online (go to www.oxfordowl.co.uk and register for this free site) Browse the eBooks. Reading recipes, instructions for games, information on the school blog or any other text you have at home.

Maths Ideas – everyday maths such as telling the time, money and measures. Possible questions - What time does this tv programme start? How long did it last? What will the time be in 45 minutes? How long is it until you go to bed? How much does this cost? What coins / notes can I use? How much is this item plus this item? How much change would I have? What is the total weight of these two tins? How much flour do we need to make this? How many pop bottles would make 2 litres?

Keep Fit Ideas – Daily walk, jog or run, Joe Wicks PE work out, exercises in the garden, skipping, dancing, circuits in house or garden.

Being Creative Ideas – drawing, painting, collage, making junk models, building with Lego or any kind of blocks or sets, singing songs (www.outoftheark.co.uk) or (www.youtube.com) making actions, dancing, acting and performing.

Celebrating – Take some time each day to think about something that you have done well and celebrate it!
